Freestyle Martial Arts  (Kickboxing and TKD)

Your first four belts in our syllabus will take you through the fundamental, and probably the most important, tools you will need.  Starting with your stance, guard and basic strikes and progressing on to fluid footwork and movement whilst striking targets.

Our academy has two potential routes to becoming a Black Belt.  Freestyle kickboxing, and freestyle TKD.  You will get a better understanding of how they differ when you watch a sparring session.  The kickboxing is typically ring based, and involves standard western boxing strikes combined with kicks.  The TKD is that of the Olympic Taekwondo format, where kicks are predominantly used but solid driving punch to the body protector are also permitted.

(Age 8 years and above.  Kit required: Academy uniform and sparring kit after ‘Red Stripe’ belt)
